Beef
Primal Cuts…with an exceptional eating experience
Our beef comes from The British Isles, mainly from the North-east of England, Northern Ireland and Ireland, and is traceable back to farm….you know from what type of animal the beef comes from!
Speciality grass fed beef breed herds
Most of our beef is sired by a beef bull, a lot of which comes from specialty grass fed beef breed herds. Each cow in the herd has one calf each year and suckles it free-range in the fields for 6-8 months. Beef cattle reared in this way:
Enjoy their mother’s milk
Exercise naturally outdoors in the fields
Eat grass – totally natural food
We also offer Aberdeen Angus sired beef, which is probably the most famous breed of cattle in the world and therefore a very strong beef brand. Linden’s Chef Class Aberdeen Angus beef is DNA tested to guarantee that it is sired by an Aberdeen Angus bull.
Beef Brands
Chef Class Aberdeen Angus and Chef Class brands are for the very top end of the market,
but Linden Foods Blue box is also very good quality beef, while Linden Basic is offered as a more economically priced option.
Maturation on the bone
Chef Class, Chef Class Aberdeen Angus and Linden Foods Blue box hind quarters are matured on the bone for a number of days.
The positive effects of this are shown in the box below.
