Our British pork, dry cured bacon and sausages come from Wicks Manor family farmers and butchers in rural Essex.
Born & Bred, Farmed & Fed
For three generations, the Howie family have been producing wheat and barley, which is grown and milled on the farm to feed the pigs, which live at Wicks Manor.
Wicks Manor pigs are born and bred, farmed and fed on the Wicks Manor Farm, or sourced from local East Anglian farms.
The pigs are reared in open strawed yards with plenty of room to express their natural behaviours.
The welfare of the animals always come first, because a happy, stress-free pig produces meat of the absolute highest quality.
British sausages and dry cured bacon
Wicks Manor delicious sausages are prepared by hand in the farm butchery using only succulent prime cuts of Wicks Manor pork blended with mixed herbs and spices.
Wicks Manor only use the very best of ingredients to produce high meat % sausages, which are then frozen for our customers’ convenience.
Wicks Manor bacon is dry-cured by hand and smoked using a blend of beechwood chips to give a lovely aromatic flavour.
All Wicks Manor pork and bacon are prepared on the farm in their own butchery and smokehouse using only the very best of ingredients.
